Delivery
Delivery charges are shown at the time of making your order.
The eMJA shop endeavours to fulfil its commitment to the stated delivery schedule but cannot guarantee to meet scheduled delivery times on all occasions. Delivery times are indicative only and the eMJA shop does not accept any liability for failure to meet scheduled delivery times or any inconvenience caused as a consequence.
Delivery times within Australia (estimates only)
1. For books which are currently held in stock
Delivery within Sydney: 2 working days
Delivery to locations in NSW: 2–4 working days
Delivery to east coast capitals (including Adelaide): 3 working days
Delivery to other capital cities: 4–6 working days
Delivery to other interstate locations: 5–7 working days
2. For books not currently in stock at AMPCo but held in Australia by the publisher
Add 6—12 days to the delivery times for regions shown in 1, as publishers vary in their speed of order processing.
3. For orders of titles/products which publishers do not hold here and only order from overseas on request
Add 2—4 weeks to delivery times as estimated in 1. Again publishers vary in the time to order from overseas.
Delivery times — international
For delivery times to destinations outside of Australia, please refer to Australia Post's International Post Guide. Select the destination country and look at the Air Mail figures. Please allow one extra day for order processing/handling, and please note Australia Post's disclaimer: The "Usual Delivery" column shows the estimated time to deliver a standard letter between metropolitan areas of major cities. Times are longer for merchandise, large letters, and articles sent from or to non-metropolitan areas.
Returns policy
The eMJA shop will afford a reasonable opportunity to its customers to examine goods for the purpose of ascertaining whether or not they conform with the purchase order. A period of 5 days from the date of delivery to alert eMJA shop to non-conformity is given in the following situations:
a. Shipment of wrong/damaged products
b. Short shipment of products from a consignment
c. Missing cartons from multiple carton consignments
In the above situations please contact the Returns Department.
All goods to be returned, whether defective or not, will require a Return Authorisation Number before they can be returned.
To obtain a Return Authorisation Number, please contact the Book Sales Coordinator on 02 9562 6666, or fax 02 9562 6600, or use the email form provided on the web site.
You will need to supply the following information (which will be on your invoice) before we can issue a Return Authorisation Number:
Name and contact details
Product to be returned
Date of purchase
Reason for return
Return Authorisation Numbers are only valid for 7 days, so we must receive the returned product into our store within this period; otherwise, the return may not be accepted. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all products are suitably packaged in order to prevent damage during return delivery. A copy of the invoice, or other proof of purchase, must be included with the returned product. The Return Authorisation Number should be clearly visible on the outside of the product-delivery carton and addressed to the following address:

The eMJA shop accepts no responsibility for loss or damage occurring in transit on return to us.
Unless stated otherwise under this Returns Policy, the eMJA shop reserves the right to refuse any returns that:
are incomplete or missing parts
are not returned in their original packaging
are returned only because the customer has simply changed his/her mind
show signs of physical damage to the product or its packaging
do not include a valid Return Authorisation Number on the delivery label.
Please choose carefully. We do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong selection. The eMJA shop may accept a return within seven days of purchase if the product is unopened however a 20% restocking fee may apply. Our Policy does not limit your rights under the Trades Practices Act or the Fair Trading Act.
Risk of damage and loss
All risk of damage or loss is transferred to you upon dispatch of the goods/item to the advised mailing address. The eMJA shop undertakes to provide adequate packaging and a reliable delivery service but is not responsible for any damage or loss of your purchase in transit, nor does the eMJA shop insure against loss or damage of your purchase in transit.
